A research project mapping how the industrial environments of Bergslagen could evolve, and identifying knowledge gaps relevant to strategic architectural and urban challenges in the region. The work combined historical readings of ore extraction and processing with contemporary examples of transformation, framing "ore" as an economic category embedded in global value chains. The study also addressed tensions between industrial production and environmental and land-use interests. We argued that shifting resource patterns will produce new economic geographies, and that planning for post-industrial futures requires both spatial and systemic understanding.
