About
I am an architect with a broad profile across strategic urban development, teaching, architecture, and artistic research. Architecture is mostly teamwork, and almost all my projects have been done in collaboration. Many were carried out together with Anders Johansson at Testbedstudio. I currently work with the group TEJA, together with Tor Lindstrand, Johanna Billing, and Anja Thedenius.
I have lectured, served as guest critic, and led panel debates in Sweden and abroad, including in Vienna, Berlin, Cottbus, Catania, Mendrisio, Graz, Venice, Rotterdam, Ordos, Beijing, and Warsaw. From 2026 I am running my own practice and teaching at KTH in year 3.
Employment
2001-ongoing | Independent practice
I have run my own practice in varying scopes since 2001, focused on architecture, strategic urban development, and artistic research.
2002-ongoing | KTH School of Architecture
Teacher / Adjunct / Year Coordinator / Programme Director (PA)
I have taught at KTH since 2002, starting as a teaching assistant on the A+URL course. From 2002 to 2017 I worked as a studio teacher and year coordinator for years 1 and 3, and as a teacher in Studio 2 for years 4 to 5 together with Tor Lindstrand and Anders Wilhelmson. During this period I was also responsible for courses in representation and digital tools. After serving as Programme Director for the architecture programme from 2018 to 2022, I have been teaching as a studio teacher in year 3 again since 2026.
2022-2026 | Tengbom, Creative Director and Design Director
At Tengbom I worked with the office's creative processes and design output, with the aim of raising the architectural quality of the work. The role included responsibility for Tengbom's offices outside Stockholm (Jönköping, Linköping, Kalmar, Karlstad, Malmö, Helsingborg, Piteå, Luleå, Umeå, and Uppsala). Beyond method development and inspiration, I worked operationally as design lead on individual projects.
2004-2015 | Testbedstudio Stockholm
Testbedstudio was an architecture office working with public space at different scales, through exhibitions, outdoor environments, and urban design projects. Our starting point was to activate physical space by putting people and the social situation at the centre. The design and building process is open and often part of the work itself, so we worked closely with clients and others in the wider community. I ran Testbedstudio Stockholm together with Anders Johansson. The office worked as a network, in close collaboration with our sister office in Malmö.
2006-2012 | Europan Sweden, General Secretary
Responsible for the Europan 9 to 11 competitions in Sweden. Also a member of the Europan Europe technical committee.
1999-2004 | sandellsandberg, Architect / Trainee
Worked on villas, early-stage projects, and the transformation of culturally significant heritage environments. The main project was OMX in Frihamnen, where I was involved from early sketches through to construction documents.
1999 | P.H.A.B London
Animations, drawings, and models for the Oslo Architecture Triennale 2000.
