Testbedstudio was one of four invited teams in a student housing competition. The site, north of Filmhuset at Gärdet, was selected through a reader-driven process, foregrounding public interest and debate. The competition framed student housing as both a social and an urban question, with proposals evaluated against everyday life, density, and integration into the park edge. Our proposal was a temporary, low-cost development organised as a villa, with communal spaces in a central courtyard.
