Buildings and places

The projects shift freely between scales and briefs. Many have been developed collaboratively, with Testbedstudio, with artist groups, with residents of a particular place. It is a way of working that does not begin with the architect's authority but with what emerges in the encounter.

What connects them is an interest in what is already there: the existing space, the established use, the memory built into things. To build is as often an act of listening as of adding.
