Planning

My work spans over two decades of strategic urban projects addressing questions of growth, shrinkage, and transformation in Nordic cities and beyond. In Kiruna, did  research and project on the Polar conditions, not only in relation to climate but also other polarities. We also took part in the competition collaboration with BIG and Topotek 1, exploring how an Arctic mining city can reimagine its future as it relocates. This work extended into the Iron Trails project a large-scale environmental mapping of the Kiruna–Narvik corridor, tracing the deep connections between landscape, industry, and settlement along the Malmbanan railway.

Through the Shrinking Cities research project and the publication 100 Ideas for Urban Development, I investigated how smaller communities can find new paths forward in the face of depopulation — work that was awarded the EU's Good Practice distinction. Other projects include Bromma Green and Nacka Öar, both research-driven urban studies exploring densification and new housing typologies in Stockholm's inner suburbs; Torsby A-Ö, a parallel assignment reimagining a small Swedish town; and Ringen, a thematic urban study. As part of Testbedstudio Stockholm, I worked with public space at various scales through exhibitions, outdoor environments, and urban planning projects.
