Tengbom — Creative Director (2022–2026)

I led creative processes and design quality development across Tengbom’s offices outside Stockholm (including Jönköping, Linköping, Kalmar, Karlstad, Malmö, Helsingborg, Piteå, Luleå, Umeå, and Uppsala). The role combined method development and internal inspiration formats. A core aim was to strengthen architectural ambition and coherence across teams and geographies supporting early-stage concept development, critique culture, and design decision-making through clearer processes and stronger shared references.

Alongside method development and creative leadership, I acted as an operational Design Lead(gestaltningsledare) on various projects.

Gjuterigatan

A office building in central Jönköping currently under construction.
The building integrates with its brick-dominated surroundings through a public-facing plinth and three distinct entry types. To maintain a human scale, the top two floors are recessed, reducing the building’s impact on the streetscape. Based on a rational structural grid, the design adapts to the site through specific spatial gestures: a convex corner marks the main street intersection, and the southern facade shifts to align with the neighboring university square. The bric facade is laid in horizontal and vertical bands to create a "woven" motif.

Velodromen

A proposal for a new timber-based velodrome and multi-sport arena in Hedenstorp, a 10-minute bike ride from central Jönköping. Designed to host international cycling, training and community sportswhile also accommodating concerts and exhibitions, the proposal is paired with an adjacent 80-room hotel. The concept promotes locally sourced materials and expertise, proposing a timber or timber–concrete hybrid structure with timber façades, and roofs combining sedum and solar panels to support stormwater management and energy production. Rooted in Småland’s wood-building tradition and Jönköping’s strong cycling culture, the project aims to become a new regional landmark that strengthens identity, innovation in sustainable timber construction, and public health.
